In September, VGBA collaborated with Vietcombank’s Basic Construction Management Division to deliver a dedicated “LEED for Project Managers” course. Designed specifically for Vietcombank’s project management team, the program provided in-depth knowledge of the international LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) framework and practical skills for applying it to real-world project management.
Intensive Training Content
The two-day course moved from foundational concepts to hands-on practice, featuring:
- Green Building & LEED Overview: Comparison of global certifications and the latest updates in LEED v5.
- LEED Project Implementation: Rating systems, certification pathways, and budgeting for LEED projects.
- Core LEED Categories: Sustainable sites and transportation, water efficiency, energy & atmosphere, materials & resources, indoor environmental quality, and innovation credits.
- Practical Case Study: Analysis of a mock LEED project to identify challenges and propose implementation strategies.
Each module combined group discussions and exercises, linking theory to real project scenarios and emphasizing key management aspects such as scheduling, staffing, green documentation, and disbursement processes—critical for project managers.
Value for Vietcombank
The training enabled Vietcombank’s team to:
- Understand the full LEED structure and implementation steps from design through commissioning.
- Strengthen green building project-management skills to meet international standards for quality and timeline.
- Gain strategies for energy savings, resource management, and operational optimization across multiple project types.
This initiative highlights Vietcombank’s long-term commitment to sustainability and to elevating professional expertise through global best practices.
Ongoing Corporate Support
Beyond this collaboration, VGBA regularly conducts advanced training in green building, energy modeling, and sustainable design. Each program is tailored to organizational needs, helping businesses and technical teams access international knowledge and apply it effectively to their own projects.
