On May 9, 2025, the Vietnam Green Building Academy (VGBA) was honored to organize a specialized training course titled “Green Buildings & Green Material Certifications” exclusively for the team at Knauf Vietnam—one of the world’s leading building materials brands.
The course was tailored for departments including Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Sustainability from Knauf’s offices in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. It aimed to enhance professional capacity and update participants on the latest trends in green building practices.
Throughout the program, participants were equipped with a solid foundation in major green building certification systems such as LEED, LOTUS, and EDGE, as well as green product labels like Green Label, SGBP, EPD, and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies. The content went beyond theory to highlight the relationship between building material products and the evaluation criteria in current certification frameworks.
A highlight of the training was the interactive group discussions and practical exercises, where participants applied their knowledge to develop technical solutions and sustainable customer engagement strategies. In-depth exchanges between learners and instructors offered practical perspectives, strengthening the connection between product features and the goal of creating efficient, environmentally friendly buildings.
The course not only helped build technical competency within Knauf’s team regarding green building standards, but also reinforced a mindset of sustainability across their business operations—encouraging the practical application of green tools and standards to their products and services.
