VGBA & GT:Hub Cross-Training – Green Building Overview & Trends in Vietnam

On August 28, VGBA and VILANDCO, in collaboration with GT:Hub, organized a cross-training session on the topic “Green Building Overview & Trends in Vietnam”. This activity is part of GT:Hub’s knowledge-sharing and training program, designed to keep members updated on the latest trends in green building in Vietnam and across the region.

GT:Hub – a pioneering network in ESG and sustainable development – brings together partners from diverse fields, including consulting, policy, engineering, finance, education, and communications. Serving as a collaborative platform, GT:Hub enables its members to exchange expertise, share best practices, and explore new opportunities for cooperation. Cross-training sessions are a regular feature of the network, aiming to strengthen capacity and community engagement.

In this session, VGBA and VILANDCO focused on several key topics:

  • Green Building Fundamentals: Key concepts and benefits from environmental, social, and economic perspectives.
  • Market Trends: An overview of the green building landscape in Vietnam and the region amid rising sustainability demands.
  • Certification Systems: Introduction to LEED, LOTUS, and EDGE, with insights into their differences and practical applications.
  • Case Studies in Vietnam: Showcasing office and industrial projects certified under international standards.
  • Collaboration Opportunities: Highlighting the importance of coordination among developers, consultants, contractors, and communities.

For VGBA and VILANDCO, the session was not only an opportunity to share expertise but also to connect more deeply with GT:Hub members, exchange ideas, and explore collaboration. Together, VGBA, VILANDCO and GT:Hub aim to foster green building practices, promote sustainable values, and contribute to Vietnam’s green transition journey.
